About the Greater St. Louis Dental Society
The Greater St. Louis Dental Society (GSLDS) is a component of the Missouri Dental Association and American Dental Association. We are the recognized professional resource for dentists in both their business and in their patient’s care. Our Mission is to lead, educate and advance the profession of dentistry for our members and the public we serve.

Professional
Greater St. Louis Dental Society members are licensed by the State of Missouri and ascribe to the strict Principles of Ethics and Code of Professional Conduct of the American Dental Association. The peer review process is designed to review and resolve problems or misunderstandings regarding dental treatment. Peer review exists for the benefit of the patient, the dentist and the third party.
Educated
Since 1938, the Greater St. Louis Dental Society has sponsored the Mid-Continent Dental Congress, hosting dental professionals for two days of lectures and hands-on workshops. Additional courses are also scheduled throughout the year, and lectures are provided at our District Meetings as well. These distinctive opportunities allow dental professionals to update their skills, expand their knowledge and elevate the quality of care provided to all patients.
Committed
Greater St. Louis Dental Society provides free referrals to the public needing a dentist. Members volunteer as individual offices and in association-sponsored events to provide dental care to those in need.
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to serve the dental needs of our community by promoting public health through service and education. If you seek a dentist close to you, want to learn the latest about oral health, are interested in becoming a dentist or have any questions about oral health as an integral component of health care, the GSLDS is here to serve you.
Representing all areas of dentistry and with nearly three out of four practicing dentists in the area, there is sure to be a GSLDS member dentist near you. Your GSLDS member dentist has made a special commitment to uphold the ethical code, practice standards and missions of the GSLDS, MDA and ADA.
